Excursion to the monastery of Taktsang, nicknamed the Refuge of the Tiger, perched at more than 3000 m. It is one of the most revered places of pilgrimage in the Himalayan world. Guru Rimpoche would indeed have come here in the 7th century, seated on the back of a tigress, to meditate there for three months. Walk of about four hours round trip (for a regular walker) through pine forests on a steep path. Possibility of doing part of the ascent on horseback (to be paid on site).
